Rob was born in Liverpool and began playing drums at a very young age. He played with a few college bands before moving to Kendal in the Lake District, with his family, at the age of 17. He has been playing drums ever since.
Rob grew up listening to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Cream, Emmerson Lake & Palmer and The Beatles.
After playing in various bands Rob went on to work as a freelance drummer, playing in a wide variety of genres including Jazz, Country, and Pop, but his great love being Rock!
Rob also played with Out of the Blue, whose lead singer was Jon Boardley. Jon still plays as a solo artist but missed the buzz of playing with a live band, and is now lead singer with Bedlam.
In the early 90s Rob joined well-known local band Freeway, the line up at that time being Jonty Martindale,
Dave Kinley, Steve Breakell and Stuart Macfarlane. Freeway finished in 1996 with these musicians going on to form The Fabulous Picasso Brothers and Storm.
Rob wanted to put together a band that could play a wide variety of music and be able to play any type of function, large or small, including local pubs, so hence the launch of Bedlam.
